Dr.
Ysidro served as one of the 900 Kansas
Mission of Mercy (KMOM) volunteers who
provided free dental care to 2,659 patients at the Kansas Speedway in
Kansas City, Kansas. Their purpose is to treat patients who cannot
access dental care. They do not prescreen patients for
eligibility based on income, age, disability or lack of dental
insurance. All patients are served on a first come, first served
basis in the two day clinics offered once a year.
KMOM has treated more than
10,600 patients in services valued over $4.4
million during five projects in the state of Kansas. The Kansas Mission
of
Mercy is a project of the Kansas Dental
Charitable Foundation.
